If you forget HP laptop password and don't have another administrator account or a password reset disk, you won't be able to get into your laptop and reset the forgotten password. If there are no other user accounts on the computer, you can never use your laptop again untill you reinstall the system. Therefore, the best way to regain access to your computer, is to create a password reset disk by yourself to reset the password.
To create a password reset disk, the first thing you need to do is to choose a password reset program that can be burned into a disk. Windows Password Buster is such a kind of software, which enables you to enter the computer and reset the lost administrator password. You can use it in Windows 7, XP or Vista, and burn it into a CD/DVD or an external USB drive.
Install and run the program on an accessible computer, and you'll get the interface as follow.
You only need to prepare a blank CD/DVD or a USB flash drive, and insert it into the computer. Then click on the Next button to begin the process.
Insert the CD/DVD or USB flash drive into the locked laptop and turn on the power. Press ESC key when the system begins to load, and you will get to the Boot Menu. Choose the USB/CD-ROM option and press Enter key. Then your laptop will boot from the password reset disk.
When the system files are loaded completely, you'll see the Windows Password Buster program's interface as follow. Here you need to click the "Change password" button and follow the instructions to remove or reset the password.
When all things are done, reboot the laptop as usual and take out of the password reset disk. You will get into the system without being asking for any password. The password has been removed. If you are going to set a new password, make sure it is safe and you will never forget it again.
